Read these terms before using ACE Tailboard.
Agreement
By downloading or using ACE Tailboard, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Snow Tree.
Reference use only
Important: not for flight planning or operational decisions
ACE Tailboard provides FAA aircraft registration data for reference and informational use only.
- Do not use this app as the basis for flight planning, dispatch, or operational decisions.
- Always verify aircraft status against the official FAA registry before any operational use.
- Data is sourced from public FAA records, which may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors.
- The app is provided as-is, without warranty as to data accuracy or fitness for any specific purpose.
You are responsible for confirming any safety-critical information through official sources.
License
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control.
- Personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
- Reasonable professional reference use is permitted.
- You may not redistribute, rehost, or scrape the app's data feeds.
- You may not reverse engineer or modify the app.
Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the app for any of the following:
- Stalking, harassing, or surveilling individuals based on aircraft registration data.
- Bulk extraction or scraping of registry data.
- Reselling or redistributing registry data extracted from the app.
- Any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the app.
- Interfering with the app's normal operation or security mechanisms.
Intellectual property
The ACE Tailboard name, brand, app design, source code, and original content are owned by Snow Tree and protected by copyright and trademark law.
The underlying FAA Aircraft Registration data is public information published by the United States Federal Aviation Administration; we make no claim of ownership over the registry data itself.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple App Store
All purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. Apple's payment terms apply to billing.
Pro upgrade
The optional Pro upgrade unlocks Advanced Search and additional browsing features. The free tier remains fully functional for core lookups.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel any subscription through your Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store policies.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNOW TREE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Decisions made or actions taken based on data displayed in the app.
- Errors, omissions, or delays in FAA registry data.
- Loss of data, opportunity, or business resulting from app use.
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the app, if any.
Use the app at your own risk. Always verify safety-critical information through official sources.
Warranty disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We make no guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that registration data will be accurate or complete at any given time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
